BIO 210 - Microbiology 4 Credit(s)
Examines the basic structure, taxonomy, growth, genetics, and control of microorganisms, with emphasis on pathogenic species. Includes discussion of fungi, protists, helminths, and viruses. The laboratory emphasizes the aseptic technique, as well as common staining and biochemical testing procedures used in the identification of bacterial species.
Prerequisites: BIO 135 . Recommended CHEM 151 .
