BIO 308 - Scientific Literature Skills and Writing for Research 2 Credit(s)
Students will develop skills for reading and understanding scientific literature, distinguishing between various types of scientific literature, literature searches, citation management, and developing a scientific writing style. Students will apply these skills by developing a research question under the guidance of a faculty advisor, conducting a literature review, and developing an introduction and methodologies towards a possible future research project. Students will also engage in writing for their career through developing a resume or a personal statement.
Prerequisites: ENG 102 , BIO 135 , and sophomore status, or consent of instructor. Fees none Undergraduate
