An exploration of the theories and processes of biological evolution. Emphasizes forces that drive evolution and the detection and analysis of those forces, as well as explores major transitions, speciation, coevolution, sexual selection, human evolution, and the role of evolution in human health.

Prerequisites: BIO 283 and one of the following: BIO 140 or BIO 220 or BIO 231.
