Marketing, BS

The marketing major includes both descriptive and analytical approaches to marketing. The major provides the student marketing skills for all areas of business. May not be completed with a business administration major with a marketing emphasis.

Program Student Learning Outcomes

  • Students will be able to identify marketing concepts and utilize the marketing mix to construct an inventive, engaging, global consumer-oriented strategy. Organizations that create, deliver, and communicate customer value will define the future.  
  • Students will be able to analyze the consumer decision-making process needed to design and collect marketing research that is responsive and evaluative of customer satisfaction. 
  • Students will be able to create and apply grounded marketing practices in developing and executing a marketing plan that is attentive to consumer satisfaction, organizational success, and positive global citizenship contributions. 

Business Core


Students majoring in accounting, agricultural business, business administration, business analytics, cybersecurity, financial management, human resources management, management, marketing, or supply chain management must complete the 39-credit business core and the required credits in the major.
