An interdisciplinary major in human services is offered to those students who intend to pursue careers in the human services area after graduation. The major also provides excellent preparation for those wishing to continue their education in graduate school. At least 18 credits in this major must be earned in courses numbered 300 or above. Program Student Learning Outcomes- Students will be able to recognize, understand, and respect the complexity of sociocultural and international diversity as it relates to human services.
- Students will be able to recognize, understand, and respect the impact of social inequality and the consequences that political processes and policies have on individuals, families, and human services organizations.
- Students will be able to recognize, understand, and respect the commitment to the use of ethical standards and guidelines within their interactions with others in the human services field.
- Students will be able to recognize, understand, and respect the complexity of relationships, including interacting professionally with individuals, families, and groups when working in the human services field.
