MATH 101 - Math for Liberal Arts 3 Credit(s)
An introduction to problem solving by applying and analyzing numerical, graphical and algebraic representations of data. Includes solving and modeling complex situations using different mathematical skills and discussion, solving, evaluating and developing skills in a variety of topics in mathematics such as set theory, algebra, graphs, counting techniques, probability, statistics, personal finance and number representation. Meets the quantitative reasoning requirement in The Peacock Professional Experience (“general education”) .
Prerequisites: Achieve an ALEKS placement score of 14-29 or pass a developmental-level MATH or quantitative reasoning course. Recommended
