ENG 101 - English Composition I

Focusing on the study and practice of rhetorical styles such as description, narration, and argumentation, this course builds on students’ pre-existing skills in grammar and sentence structure. Emphasis is placed on understanding and applying rhetorical principles to create coherent and persuasive texts. Meets the first requirement in the professional written communication outcome area in The Peacock Professional Experience (“general education”) .

Prerequisites: ACT (verbal portion) of at least 18 or the completion of ENG 100  or successful performance on challenge examination.
